Midwest Yellow Ribbon for Life is committed to raising awareness, education and support for mental health and wellness in order to eliminate suicide and promote life.
We endeavour to dispel the myths which surround mental illness and suicide by actively engaging in open discussion to encourage understanding and knowledge.
By virtue of encouraging all community members to nurture trusting relationships and networks of support, we will offer hope and healing through connections to the community.
Through education and skills development we will build the individual and collective capacity of all members to be proactive in implementing early intervention and prevention detection and strategies thus diminishing suicide in our communities and ensuring those whose mental wellness is challenged and their networks are well supported.
By consistently striving to build a cohesive community we will promote existing options for treatments and care for both consumers and support networks to achieve better outcomes of early intervention, prevention and postvention of mental illness and suicide and a road to mental wellness.
